He earned M.S. from Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Ph.D. from Univ. of Tokyo. He held visiting positions at the Stanford Univ., RITE, NEDO, JST, and the National Diet Library. He serves as a research or educational position at Kyushu Univ., Tokyo Univ. of Agriculture & Technology, Univ. of Tokyo. He is vice chair of EGRD in the IEA.
