The Institute of Applied Energy (IAE) announced that IAE participates to the SH2E (Sustainability Assessment of Harmonised Hydrogen Energy Systems) project that has received funding from the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen 2 Joint Undertaking (FCH-JU) that is supported by HORIZON2020. IMDEA Energy (Spain) coordinates the consortium, which also includes GreenDelta (Germany), Forschungszentrum Jülich (Germany), CEA (France), the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation (Spain), SYMBIO (France), and the Institute of Applied Energy (Japan). Reference guidelines for the holistic sustainability assessment of fuel cells and hydrogen systems will be developed in this project for three and a half years. IAE will contribute to the SH2E project through development of life-cycle costing methodologies of hydrogen and fuel cells systems.
