Continuous Improvement of Nuclear Safety Regulations of Japan -Research on the Nuclear Safety Regulation System and Organizations-

Japanese regulatory system was dramatically changed in September, 2012, reflecting the lessons learned from Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Accident of March 11, 2011. This report reviews and analyses the last three years’ implementation results of the current regulatory system and presents recommendations for continuous improvement of nuclear safety regulations.
